Both base models come with a 250 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with the T6 trims offering a 316 horsepower turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine. The T8 models come with the new hybrid twin-turbo engine with an electric motor, which produces an impressive 400 horsepower.

The major difference we see when comparing performance features is the XC60 Polestar Engineered model gives you a bit more horsepower from the hybrid powertrain, which is not available in the XC90.

The Volvo XC60 will also be a tad more fuel-efficient, offering 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. The XC90 delivers 21 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway.
