New for the 2021 Volvo XC60 and XC90 are hybrid powertrains, which are excellent for those that commute to Fort Hood, TX, for work or everyday errands.

Both Volvo SUVs are offered with the same engines. Both base models come with a 250 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with the T6 trims offering a 316 horsepower turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine. The T8 models come with the new hybrid twin-turbo engine with an electric motor, which produces an impressive 400 horsepower.

The major difference we see when comparing performance features is the XC60 Polestar Engineered model gives you a bit more horsepower from the hybrid powertrain, which is not available in the XC90.

The Volvo XC60 will also be a tad more fuel-efficient, offering 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. The XC90 delivers 21 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway.
